Ngaphambi kokuqala
- You need a role that can write stories: owner, admin, editor, reporter, copy editor or contributor. Photo editors and legal reviewers can not start new stories.
Izinyathelo
- Tap Bhala indaba on Home, or Indaba entsha on the Stories list.
- If your site offers it, pick a Qala kusuka story type at the top to begin with a ready layout.
- Choose the Uhlobo: Indaba, Photo gallery or Ividiyo. Gallery and video need their feature to be on for your site. A lock means it is not available.
- Write the Isihloko. The hint counts up to 110 characters for a clear headline. The limit is 300.
- Write a short Isifinyezo: one or two sentences that tell the story.
- Under Lapho ebonakala khona nokuthi ibhalwe ngubani, choose the Isigaba esiyinhloko and add at least one author. These are needed to publish.
- Under Isithombe esiyinhloko, tap Faka isithombe esiyinhloko, pick or upload a picture, and add a Amagama achaza isithombe.
- Write the story in the large Indaba box. Type / to see the blocks you can insert.
- Tap Londoloza. The first save creates your draft.
Kuhle ukukwazi
- Optional fields: Isihloko esifushane (for small cards, push alerts and apps), Isiqephu (for story cards and sharing) and Indawo nosuku, such as a city.
- Your work is also kept on this device while you type. If the connection drops, the bar says "Offline: changes are kept on this device". When you come back, you can restore or discard an unsaved draft.
- Reporters and contributors send the story for review. Editors and owners publish.

- Publish story is greyed out. A required field is missing: headline, main section, or author. Tap the item in the Kukulungele ukushicilelwa strip to jump to it.
- "Someone else is editing this story right now. Wait, or ask an editor to take over." Another person has the story open. Wait, or ask an editor to take over.

Do I need a main section?
Yes, once your site has sections. The editor will not publish without one.
Can I change the type later?
No. The type is chosen when the story is created.
