How do I make a link-in-bio page for my social profiles?

In this story

Where: Settings → Site & brand → Link in bio

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/link-in-bio (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • You need permission to manage pages.
  • For the newsletter box, you need the Newsletters feature. See Features.

Steps

  1. Open Settings and choose Link in bio.
  2. Turn on Show the /links page. The screen shows your page's address next to Address:.
  3. Fill in Page title. If you leave it empty, your site name is used.
  4. Write a Short bio.
  5. Under Links, choose Add a link. For each one, fill in Button text and Link (https://, mailto: or tel:).
  6. Turn on Highlight this link for the one you want people to tap first.
  7. Use Move up and Move down to set the order. Use Remove to delete a link.
  8. Turn on Show my latest post and Show a newsletter sign-up box if you want them.
  9. Choose Save. The site shows the change within a minute.
  10. Copy the address and paste it into your social profiles.

Good to know

  • You can add up to 20 links. A button text is 1 to 60 characters.
  • Links can open a website (https://), start an email (mailto:) or start a call (tel:).
  • The newsletter box shows a lock note, "The newsletter box needs the Newsletters feature (Add features)", until you own that feature.
  • Your social profiles for the site are set on the Settings page, in the Set up your site guide (the Social links step). See Social links.

Common problems

  • The page says not found. Check that Show the /links page is on and saved.
  • A link isn't saved. Each link needs both a button text and an address.
