Where: Growth → Reach readers → Newsletters
Open this page: admin.<your-site>/m/newsletters (replace <your-site> with your site address). It is a paid add-on: without it you see an add-on card.
Before you start
- The Newsletters add-on on your site. See Newsletters.
- Your domain verified on the Keynate Email card, or your own email service connected. See Keynate Email and Sending email.
Steps
- Open Newsletters in the admin menu, then Editions.
- Open the edition that has not gone out.
- Read the line that starts with Waiting.
- Do what it says. See the list below.
- Come back later. The newsletter goes on by itself once the reason is gone.
Good to know
- Waiting: set up your email first. Verify your domain on the Keynate Email card: (1) connect your own domain to your site, (2) on the card find Send from your own domain and add the listed records at the company where you manage your domain, (3) press Check my domain. When it says Verified, your newsletters go out from your own address. Or connect your own email service in Sending email.
- Waiting: slowing down to stay within the sending limit. Your email service has a limit. The rest goes out when it is allowed. You do not need to press anything.
- Waiting: this period's emails are used up. Add emails or wait for the next period. See Usage and limits.
- Waiting: newsletters are paused until the renewal is paid. Pay the renewal and it goes on. Your site stays online.
- Sign-in codes and receipts do not wait for the newsletter.
Common problems
- It has been hours and some are not sent. Check the Waiting line, and your email service's limits.
- The newsletter stopped. Sending pauses if your renewal is overdue. Pay the renewal and it goes on.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How do I verify my domain?
Verify your domain on the Keynate Email card: (1) connect your own domain to your site, (2) on the card find Send from your own domain and add the listed records at the company where you manage your domain, (3) press Check my domain. When it says Verified, your newsletters go out from your own address.
Can Keynate Email send my newsletters?
Yes, from your site's own address once your domain is verified. A person you imported or added by hand can only get a newsletter through your own email service, because Keynate needs proof that each person agreed. The edition goes on for everyone else.
Can I make it faster?
Sending slowly protects your mail from the spam folder. If your email service has a limit, the rest waits for it.
Do I need to do anything when it says Waiting?
Only if the message asks you to, such as setting up your email. Otherwise it goes on by itself.
