How do I turn a spreadsheet into a chart?

In this story

Where: Stories → Charts

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/m/data-charts (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • This is an add-on. It is included in some plans: see your plan on keynate.com (Choose a plan).
  • Only the site owner can add it.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Site & brand → Add features. The page is called Features.
  2. Find Data charts. A paid feature shows Paid and Needs with the plan that has it. Tap Buy and finish the purchase on keynate.com (it may open in a new tab).
  3. Come back to Features. It shows Being set up for a few minutes, then On.
  4. Open Stories → Charts.
  5. Create a chart. Choose a data table or paste a CSV.
  6. Pick the chart type and the columns.
  7. Add annotations and an accessible description, check the live preview, then publish.

Good to know

  • Paid features cannot be switched off in Features.

Common problems

I cannot find Data charts in my admin. Why: The feature is off or not yet installed. Fix: Open Settings → Site & brand → Add features. If it shows Buy, it is not in your plan yet. If it shows Being set up, wait a few minutes. Paid features you don't own are listed in the menu under Add more features.
