Where: Stories → Web Stories
Before you start
- Web Stories is an add-on. See your plan on keynate.com (Choose a plan).
- Have a square logo ready, at least 96 by 96 pixels. Google shows it on every story.
- Have a tall poster photo, at least 640 by 853 pixels.
Steps
Set up once
- Open Settings → Site & brand → Add features, find Web stories. If it shows Buy, buy it first. Wait until it shows On (not Being set up).
- Open Stories → Web Stories and go to its Settings. Only the site owner or an admin can change them.
- Under Publisher logo tap Choose logo. The page tells you if it is not square or too small.
- Under New stories choose the Default template and the Seconds per page.
- Leave Count views and page reach on. It is anonymous: no cookies and no personal data.
Every day
- On Stories → Web Stories tap New story. Choose From an article to start fast, or From a template or Blank.
- In the studio, tap a page to change its text and photo. Use Add a page after this one, or move, duplicate or delete pages.
- Choose a poster with Choose a poster. The studio tells you if the size is good.
- Your work is kept safe by itself as you go.
- Tap Check & publish, then Check story. Tap Show me next to a problem to jump to it. Fix every problem. Tips are optional.
- If the story has AI-written text, an editor must read it and tap I checked it: approve before it can be published.
- Preview it in the phone frame, then publish.
- Come back later and tap Stats to see views, how many read to the end and where readers leave.
Good to know
- A big drop on one page in How far readers get shows where people leave. Try a shorter text or a stronger photo there.
- Ads between pages show only while your site ads are on, and never on sponsored stories.
- Stories show as Draft, In review, Scheduled, Live or Archived.
Common problems
- "Fix the problems in the check first." Open Check story and fix each problem it lists.
- "Poster is ... px; use at least 640 × 853." Choose a taller, larger photo.
- "This logo isn't square." Use a square version of your logo.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can I make one from an article I already wrote?
Yes. Tap New story, then From an article, and search your articles. The story uses the article headline unless you type a title.
Can I see how people use it?
Yes. Stats shows views, how far readers get, link taps and how many read to the end. It counts without cookies.
Do I need a phone to build it?
No. On a laptop you see the page canvas and properties side by side. On a phone the properties open from the bottom.
