Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/video-hosting (replace <your-site> with your site address)
Before you start
- This is an add-on. It is included in some plans: see your plan on keynate.com (Choose a plan).
- Only the site owner can add it.
- An account with a video host, and its access token ID and secret.
Steps
- Open Settings → Site & brand → Add features. The page is called Features.
- Find Hosted video. A paid feature shows Paid and Needs with the plan that has it. Tap Buy and finish the purchase on keynate.com (it may open in a new tab).
- Come back to Features. It shows Being set up for a few minutes, then On.
- Open Media, then Where your videos live.
- Choose your Video host.
- Enter the Access token ID and Access token secret.
- Save, and confirm your password.
Good to know
- Without the add-on, a note says "Video hosting is a separate add-on" and your site keeps working as before.
- A video report shows how your videos and audio are watched, without cookies.
- Paid features cannot be switched off in Features.
Common problems
The video host did not accept my keys. Why: The keys are wrong, or they lack a permission. Fix: The screen says "The video host did not accept these keys. Check them and try again." Copy the keys again from your video host.
I cannot find Hosted video in my admin. Why: The feature is off or not yet installed. Fix: Open Settings → Site & brand → Add features. If it shows Buy, it is not in your plan yet. If it shows Being set up, wait a few minutes. Paid features you don't own are listed in the menu under Add more features.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need this to use YouTube links?
No. YouTube links work without it.
What does the status mean?
Connected means new uploads go to your video host. Keys needed means you must enter the keys.
Are my keys safe?
They are stored safely and never shown again. Saving them asks you to confirm your password.
