Before you start
- You must be the site owner.
- If you use Google AdSense, Keynate adds its line for you. See Connect AdSense.
Steps
- Ask your ad network for your ads.txt lines. Each line has the network's name, your ID and the word DIRECT or RESELLER.
- In Keynate open Settings → Readers & money → Ads.
- Find the box ads.txt.
- Paste the lines. Put one line on each row.
- Look at the message under the box. It says No problems found or how many lines look wrong.
- Fix any line that looks wrong. Copy it again from your ad network.
- Save. It shows ads.txt saved.
- Open
yoursite.com/ads.txtto see the file as the ad network sees it.
Good to know
- Your text is served exactly as you type it.
- Keep the lines the ad network gave you. Do not remove a line unless the network tells you to.
- Mobile apps need their own list. See app-ads.txt.
Common problems
- "1 line looks wrong". Check for a missing comma, a space in the ID or a typo.
- The ad network cannot find the file. Wait a few hours. Open the address above to check it shows.
