Who can comment, and when do comments close?

Where: Readers & money → Comments → Comment settings

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/comments/settings (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Steps

1. Open Readers & money → Comments and tap the Rules tab. It shows your comment settings. Find Rules.
2. Close comments after (days): 0 = never. It is counted from the day the story is published.
3. Readers can edit for (minutes): 0 = no editing.
4. Links allowed in a comment: 0 = no links. Many links are a sign of spam.
5. Readers under 18 may comment: if off, younger readers can read and report comments but not write.
6. Tap Save.

Good to know

• Only the site owner can change these settings.
• Each box has an allowed range, which is shown next to it.
