Before you start
You need a paid Keynate site. Only some plans qualify for a reward, for a new site or an upgrade. What you both get on the page lists them. Your invite link turns on once your first order is paid. Until then the page says Make your first purchase to start referring. If the programme is not open yet, the page says Refer & earn is coming soon.
Steps
- Open Account. Under Wallet & rewards, tap Refer & earn.
- Under Your invite link, copy your link or your code. You can also share it by WhatsApp, email or on X.
- Your friend opens your link, or types your code at checkout.
- They place their first paid order and get the invite discount shown at checkout.
- Your credit lands in your Keynate Wallet as soon as your friend's site is live. If the page shows a waiting time, it shows the date instead. Keynate emails you.
Choose your own code
Under Choose your own code (once), type 4 to 16 letters and numbers, for example ASHANEWS. Tap Save code. You can change it once. Links you already shared keep working.
The status of each invite
- Signed up. Your friend signed up with your link.
- Waiting for your friend’s site to go live. Their order is paid. The credit lands when their site is live.
- Under review. Keynate is checking the order. This can take a few days.
- Earned. Your credit was added.
- Not eligible. The invite did not meet the programme terms.
- Not eligible (refunded). The friend's order was refunded.
- Taken back. The order was refunded or charged back after your credit was added.
Good to know
- What you both get shows your reward. It may be a percent of your friend's first payment. The percent is worked out on the payment without GST, server and setup fees.
- If your friend's site setup fails and the order is refunded, there is no reward.
- Credit pays Keynate orders only. It cannot be cashed out.
- Rewards have a monthly and a yearly limit. What you both get shows them and what you earned this year.
- If a friend's order is refunded or charged back after you were credited, Keynate takes the credit back from your unspent wallet credit.
- One code per order: your friend uses either your invite code or a coupon, whichever saves more.

Who counts as a new customer?
Someone who has never paid for Keynate, signing up with their own details. Inviting yourself or a second account of your own does not count.
