Two kinds of credit
- Rewards and goodwill (expire). Referral rewards and goodwill credit from Keynate. Each credit has an expiry date shown in your wallet. Keynate emails you 30 days and 7 days before it expires.
- Refunds kept as credit (never expire). Money from a refund that you chose to keep as wallet credit. Where Keynate offers this, keeping credit is always your choice. The default is your original payment method.
How it is used
- On a pay screen, the card shows Use … from your Keynate Wallet with a switch. Turn it off to pay fully by card or UPI.
- Rewards are used first, earliest expiry first. Then refund credit.
- If the wallet covers the whole order, you confirm and no payment window opens.
- Open Account. Under Wallet & rewards, tap Keynate Wallet to see your balance, Expiring soon, Settings and History.
Wallet settings
- Use my wallet automatically at checkout. Your balance is pre-selected on every order and held for open renewals. You can still switch it off on each order.
- Pay renewals from my wallet automatically. Off by default. When on, a renewal that your wallet covers in full is paid on its renewal date without you pressing Pay. Keynate emails you 3 days before. Price changes are announced at least 15 days ahead. When off, nothing renews until you press Pay.
Refunds and your wallet
If part of an order was paid from your wallet, that part goes back to your wallet, into the same kind of credit it came from. Reward credit keeps its original expiry date. If that date has already passed, it gets 14 more days. See the refund policy.
Good to know
- If you close your account, reward credit is lost. If you have refund credit left, spend it first, or write to Keynate to have it refunded to your original payment method. Delete your account
- A coupon can be used together with your wallet. Using a coupon
Common problems
- I can't use my balance on an order. Your balance pays orders in its own currency only.
- "Your wallet isn’t available yet." The wallet is not open on your account yet. Try again later.

Can I withdraw my wallet balance?
No. It is never paid out as cash.
