What can I do on the admin Home page?

Where: Home

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/ (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

• Everyone on the team sees Home. Some cards only show for roles that may use them, for example the visitor numbers need permission to view analytics.

Steps

1. Open Home. At the top you see a greeting and "Here is what’s happening on" your site name.
2. Tap Write a story to start a story. Tap Continue draft to open your newest draft. If you have scheduled stories, a button shows how many.
3. Tap More for Post breaking news, Open my site and Ask AI for help.
4. While your site is not fully set up, the Set up your site card shows "… of … done" and the Next step. Tap See all steps for the full list.
5. Your publishing plan shows how many stories you published in the last 7 days. Tap Hide this plan if you don't need it.
6. Under At a glance check the tiles: Readers right now (people on your site in the last 5 minutes), Visitors today, Waiting for review, Drafts and Scheduled. Tap a tile to open that list.
7. Your dashboard shows cards such as Waiting for review, My drafts, Recently changed stories, Top stories and Comments to moderate. Tap Customize dashboard to add or remove cards.
8. In the side column, Recent lists what you opened lately on this device, and Alerts lists what needs your attention.
9. Tap More on Home for Need a hand? and its Ask AI for help button.

Good to know

• If your site is hidden, Home shows a card "Your site is hidden" with Make public and View your site. See Site visibility.
• If visitor numbers are off, the tile shows Visitor numbers with Off. Tap it to switch them on in Features.
• The Waiting for review tile is hidden when you work alone and nothing waits.
• Counts over 50 show as "50+".
• Counts and recent work belong to the edition you are viewing.

Common problems

• "We couldn’t load your stories. They are safe: check your connection and try again." The story lists did not load. Check your connection and tap Try again.
• The visitor tiles are missing. Your role may not see analytics, or visitor numbers are off for your site. Ask the owner. Nothing is lost.
• "Your dashboard is empty". Tap Add cards and pick the cards you want first.
