How do I use the On this page menu and the ? help?

In this story

Where: Home

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/ (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • Nothing to set up. Both appear by themselves where they help.

Steps: jump around a long screen

  1. Open a long screen, for example Settings, Ads.
  2. Look for the row On this page under the top bar. On a phone, the label is hidden but the buttons are there.
  3. Tap a name. The screen scrolls to that part.
  4. Slide the row sideways to see more names.
  5. As you scroll, the part you are on is highlighted.

Steps: use the ? help

  1. Tap the ? next to a title or a card heading.
  2. A panel opens. On a phone it fills the screen. On a tablet or laptop it opens at the side.
  3. Read the short summary and the Steps.
  4. Tap Ask AI to ask about this screen.
  5. Tap Open on support.keynate.com for the full article.
  6. Tap Still stuck? Contact support if you need a person.

Steps: the Help button in the top bar

  1. Tap Help and Ask AI in the top bar.
  2. Under Get help you can Search help and pages, Ask the AI assistant, Chat with Keynate support, see Your site's status page and What's new.
  3. Under Help for this page you see the guides for the screen you are on.
  4. Under Checks on this page you see simple status checks, where a screen has them.

Good to know

  • On this page shows only when a screen has at least 3 parts, and not more than 14. Short screens don't need it.
  • Where a guide isn't ready yet, the ? says Full guide coming soon. The short summary and Ask AI still work.
  • Ask AI sends only this screen's status checks, never your passwords or secret codes.
  • If the AI isn't connected, the site owner can connect it free in one tap.
  • You can also press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) to search help and pages.

Common problems

  • I don't see On this page. The screen is short, or it is turned off for that screen (the story editor).
  • The ? shows no steps. The summary is all there is for now. Use Ask AI.
  • Ask AI is off. "The AI assistant isn't on for this site yet." Ask the site owner to turn it on.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does the ? cost anything?

No. Reading help is free.

Can I reach a person?

Yes. Use Chat with Keynate support in the Help panel, or Still stuck? Contact support.

Why does one ? open a bigger article?

Parts of a screen share the guide of the whole screen. The ? shows the short part first, and Open on support.keynate.com shows the whole guide.
