How do I create a video or audio show or podcast?

Where: Media → Video & audio shows

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/media/shows (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

You need permission to manage video. Upload the video or audio to the media library first.

Steps

1. Open Media, then Video & audio shows.
2. Tap New show.
3. Fill in Title, Type (video or audio), Description and, if you like, Genre.
4. Set State. Only published shows are visible to readers.
5. Tap Choose image to add artwork.
6. Tap Save. You see "Show saved."
7. Tap Open on the show to add seasons and episodes.

Good to know

• Video shows use videos. Audio shows and podcasts use audio. You can’t change the type later.
• Web address (optional) is made from the title if you leave it empty.
• Sponsored show lets you name the sponsor. Readers see it on the show and on every episode.
• Use Search shows and the State filter to find a show.
• Delete a show with Delete. Shows that still have episodes can’t be deleted.

Common problems

• "We couldn’t load this. Check your connection and try again." Tap Try again.
