Before you start
- You need the live-data add-on you want. If you own none, the page says "This site has no live data add-on yet" and lists add-ons you can add. See your plan on keynate.com.
- Only the owner can connect a data service: "Only the site owner can connect data services."
Steps
- Open Settings → Readers & money → Connections. On the Live scores, prices and weather card, press Open live data.
- Find the section for your add-on: Live scores, Market prices, Weather and air quality.
- On the service's card, press Go to the data service and open an account.
- Copy your access code from the service's dashboard.
- Press Add and paste the code. Pick the plan you have with the service.
- Tick the terms line. We check the code before we save it.
- Turn on Fetch data from this provider.
- Press Open settings to choose the matches, prices or places your site shows.
Good to know
- The card shows a status such as Connected, Paused or Key refused, your code only as "Saved ••••", the calls used against your plan with the service and how often it updates.
- Your site must show the service's credit line next to the data. The card shows it.
- You sign up with the data company yourself. Check its terms for public and commercial display.
- Remove key deletes the code and stops fetching. Figures already on your site stay for a while, marked as not updating, then disappear.
Common problems
- "Saved. We could not reach {name} to check the key yet; we'll keep trying."
- "Key saved. Tick the terms line so your site can show the data."
- "Live data isn't available on this server yet. It arrives with the next update of your site."
- "Nothing to update yet: choose what to show on the add-on's page."

Who pays the data service?
You do, directly. Keynate never shares your code.
What if I replace my code?
Press Change key or plan on the card and paste the new code. It is checked first.
