How do I manage authors?

In this story

Where: Stories → Authors

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/authors (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • Owners, admins and editors manage authors.

Steps

  1. Open Stories then Authors.
  2. Tap Add author. Fill the name, role, photo and short bio. See Create an author.
  3. Tap Declare an interest next to an author to add a Declaration. Readers see it on every live story with this author. Leave it empty if there is nothing to declare.
  4. Tap Expertise to add topics they know, education, degrees or licences, and the reviews they may sign.
  5. Authors without a photo or a bio are marked No photo or No bio.

Good to know

  • The list shows how many stories each author has.
  • Expertise is shown on the author page and in the data search engines read. It does not guarantee any display in search.
  • A real, named person with a photo and short bio helps readers trust the byline.
