How do I keep private proof for a story?

In this story

Where: Stories → All stories → The story editor

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/articles (replace <your-site> with your site address). Then open the one you want.

Where to find it

On a laptop it is in the right-hand column of the story editor. On a phone or tablet, scroll down below the story. Open Private notes and proof. Save the story first.

Steps

  1. Pick the Type: document, link, file, data or media.
  2. Type a Title.
  3. Add the Link (https), or tap Choose from the media library for a file.
  4. Optional: link it to one of the story sources and add a Note.
  5. Tick Confidential if only you, editors and the legal desk may see it.
  6. Tap Add evidence. An editor can then mark it as verified.

Good to know

  • Proof is never shown to readers and never exported.
  • Changing the link or file of a verified item removes the verified mark.
