How does my story show on Google and in AI answers?

In this story

Where: Stories → All stories → The story editor

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/articles (replace <your-site> with your site address). Then open the one you want.

Where to find it

The How this shows on Google and AI card is right under the story text.

Steps

  1. Scroll below the story text to How this shows on Google and AI. The grey box shows how the story looks in Google.
  2. Title on Google: leave it empty to use the headline, or write a shorter one.
  3. Short summary for Google: one or two lines, about 120 to 160 characters. Empty uses your summary.
  4. Web address: short words for the end of the story link. Tap the magic wand to make one from the headline.
  5. Focus keyword: the main words people type into Google to find this story.
  6. Tap See all checks to open the Story check list.

Good to know

  • Empty boxes are fine: we use your headline and summary.
  • If you change the web address after publishing, old links still work.
  • AI answers use the same title and summary.
