How do I publish an e-paper?

In this story

Where: Stories → E-paper

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/m/epaper (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • This is an add-on. It is included in some plans: see your plan on keynate.com (Choose a plan).
  • Only the site owner can add it.
  • Your print PDF for each issue.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Site & brand → Add features. The page is called Features.
  2. Find E-paper. A paid feature shows Paid and Needs with the plan that has it. Tap Buy and finish the purchase on keynate.com (it may open in a new tab).
  3. Come back to Features. It shows Being set up for a few minutes, then On.
  4. Open Stories → E-paper.
  5. Create a new issue and upload the PDF.
  6. Wait for the pages to render. Watch the progress bar.
  7. Open the region editor and draw boxes. Link each box to a story, a web address or a page.
  8. Publish the issue.

Good to know

  • Issues show on a month calendar on tablet and laptop, and as a list on phones.
  • Auto-link suggestions can be approved or rejected.
  • Settings cover print editions, access, PDF download and push.
  • Paid features cannot be switched off in Features.

Common problems

I cannot find E-paper in my admin. Why: The feature is off or not yet installed. Fix: Open Settings → Site & brand → Add features. If it shows Buy, it is not in your plan yet. If it shows Being set up, wait a few minutes. Paid features you don't own are listed in the menu under Add more features.
