In this story
Before you start
You need Social auto-share on your site. If you pick an X pack without it, Keynate adds Social auto-share to your basket. During launch, the message is "Auto-share to X needs Social auto-share. Add it above first."
Add a pack when you launch
On the Plan & pay screen, under Auto-share to X, choose No X auto-share (share to X yourself) or a pack. A pack that needs Social auto-share says Needs Social auto-share.
Add or change a pack on a live site
- Open My sites, your site, then Add features.
- Find Auto-share to X.
- Tap a pack. The card shows what you pay today and how many posts you get until your renewal. A pack bought today gives you the posts for the days left until your renewal. The page shows This month: … posts for your current pack.
- A bigger pack is an Upgrade today. A smaller one starts at your renewal and shows Smaller pack or Starts … at renewal.
- Tap Switch at renewal or Keep my current pack to decide.
- To stop, tap Stop X auto-share at renewal. The pack ends at the date shown.
Good to know
- Keynate posts to X for you through Keynate's X app. You do not create an X developer account and you do not pay X.
- You buy a monthly pack (Starter 30 posts, Pro 150 posts). Each story post counts as one. Unused posts do not carry over.
- At the limit, X posting pauses until your renewal or until you upgrade. Your other networks keep posting.
- To connect: open Social sharing, choose X, sign in to X and allow Keynate. X posts are text and a link card only, with no images.
- Pack names, post counts and prices are shown on your screen and can change.
- The pack states you may see: Your pack, Ends …, Starts … at renewal, Smaller pack, Payment being checked, Not sold in your country yet, Needs Social auto-share.
- The activity list says "Your X post pack is now …" or "X auto-share ended at the end of its paid month."
Common problems
- "X packs aren’t sold in your country yet."
- "We couldn’t save that choice. Please try again."
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Why does X cost extra?
X charges for its API per post, so it is priced separately.
