How do I see or undo a template switch?

In this story

Where: Settings → Site & brand → Change template

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/template (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Site & brand → Change template.
  2. Find Earlier switches.
  3. Read the status of each: Preview ready, The preview couldn't be built, Live, Went back or Cancelled.
  4. To undo a published switch, press Go back to {name} and confirm "Your site returns to the version that was live before the switch."
  5. The status shows "Going back…", then Went back.

Good to know

  • Going back does not delete your stories.
  • If a switch fails the safety check, the page says "The new template didn't pass the safety check, so your site stayed on the version before. Nothing was lost."
  • Refresh updates the list. The page also refreshes by itself while a build runs.
