How do I help readers follow me on Google and messaging apps?

Where: Settings → Content & publishing → Follow buttons

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/distribution (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

• You need permission to manage SEO.
• If a button's feature is off, the page says "This button is switched off in Add features, so readers won't see it yet."

Steps

1. Open Settings → Content & publishing → Follow buttons (the page is titled Distribution).
2. Set up the Google options. See Google.
3. Add your channels. See Messaging channels.
4. Choose Where to show the buttons: Stories, Home page, Footer, Mobile app.
5. Save. The page says "Distribution saved."

Common problems

• "Enter a full https:// address."
• "This doesn't look like a valid link for this app."
