How do I edit an entry and publish it?

In this story

Where: Stories → Jobs, events & more → Edit an entry

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/data (replace <your-site> with your site address). Then open the one you want.

Steps

  1. Open the entry from Jobs, events & more, or start a new one.
  2. Fill the fields. The page lists required ones: "All required fields are filled in" turns on when done.
  3. Under Section, tags and place choose a Main section. Readers and search engines find entries through their section.
  4. Tap Save. The note shows "All changes saved".
  5. Use the main button: Send for review, Publish or Publish now. For a later time, open the actions and choose Schedule (Publish later), then pick Publish on.
  6. Unpublish or Back to draft are in the actions. Versions shows earlier saves.

Good to know

  • For data tables you can paste or open a CSV: "Paste or open your data". Check each column name and kind, then tap Use this data.
  • For jobs, exams and similar entries, Official facts check asks someone who can publish to tick "I checked these against the official source". Readers then see "Verified on" with the date. Changing those facts removes the mark.
  • A job also needs a country code (like IN) before publishing.

Common problems

  • "Choose a main section before publishing." No main section. Pick one under Section, tags and place.
  • "Pick a time in the future." The schedule time has passed. Choose a later time.
