Open this page: admin.<your-site>/articles (replace <your-site> with your site address). Then open the one you want.
Where to find it
On a laptop it is in the right-hand column of the story editor. On a phone or tablet, scroll down below the story. Open Credits (photo, video, editing).
Steps
- Tap Add a credit.
- Pick the Role, for example photographer or editor.
- Pick the Person. For someone without a profile, choose Someone without a profile and type the Name.
- Optional: add a Note, for example "Additional reporting".
- For a picture from outside, fill in Source credit text, for example "Photo courtesy of the family".
Good to know
- The writers go in the Byline. Credits are for everyone else.
- Changes save on their own and show on the live story.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as the credit line for an agency?
No. An agency credit line such as "With inputs from PTI" goes in Attribution (credit line).
