How do I set who wrote a story (the byline)?

In this story

Where: Stories → All stories → The story editor

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/articles (replace <your-site> with your site address). Then open the one you want.

Where to find it

Open Story settings. The Byline (who wrote it) part is under Where it shows and who wrote it.

Steps

  1. Tap Team author for someone on your team. Search and pick their name. They have a profile page on your site.
  2. Tap Guest for a writer from outside, such as a freelancer. Type their name.
  3. Tap Agency for a news agency such as PTI or Reuters.
  4. With more than one name, use the arrows to change the order.
  5. Tap the cross next to a name to remove it.

Good to know

  • At least one name is needed to publish.
  • When an agency is in the byline, the story also needs a credit line. See Attribution (credit line).
  • Owners, admins and editors can create a new team author right here.

Questions
