How do I add the lead image of a story?

Where: Stories → All stories → The story editor

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/articles (replace <your-site> with your site address). Then open the one you want.

Where to find it

The Lead image card is under the Summary.

Steps

1. In the Lead image card, tap Add lead image.
2. Take a photo, or pick one from your media library.
3. Describe the picture when asked. This helps blind readers and Google Images.
4. Add a Caption if you want one under the photo.
5. To swap it, tap Change. To take it off, tap Remove.

Good to know

• A lead image is optional, but stories with a photo get more readers.
• Use a wide photo at least 1,200 pixels across. Google Discover needs that size.
