How do I publish in more than one language?

In this story

Where: Settings → Site & brand → Languages

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/languages (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • This feature is part of your site by default.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Site & brand → Languages.
  2. Set your site language, or add a site in another language.
  3. Link the sites so readers can switch.
  4. Use Translations under Stories to see which stories are missing in each language.

Good to know

  • Each language is its own website with its own stories.
  • Changing the site language changes the words of menus, buttons and dates for readers.
  • You cannot switch this feature off. Built-in features do not have a switch in Features.

Common problems

Search engines do not pair my translations. Why: The stories are not linked as translations. Fix: Open Your languages in Google to see which pairs are missing, then link them.
