How do I add or change my site's language?

In this story

Where: Settings → Site & brand → Languages

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/languages (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • You need permission to manage the site. Buying or changing is done by the owner on keynate.com.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Site & brand → Languages.
  2. Read Your language. See How do I change my site's language?.
  3. Read Other language sites. See How do I manage my other language sites?.

Good to know

  • Everything on a site is written in one language: articles, categories, menus, pages and branding. Readers and search engines always get one clear language.
  • Older sites that were set up with several languages keep them, but no language can be added to them. Other languages are now separate websites.

Common problems

  • "The list of your other sites isn't available on this server yet." It arrives with a later update.
  • "Your other sites couldn't be loaded." Try again.
