Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/ads (replace <your-site> with your site address)
Steps
- Open Settings → Site & brand → Add features. The page is called Features.
- Find Ads and ads.txt. If it shows Off, turn on Use this feature.
- If it says Not in your plan, see your plan on keynate.com (Choose a plan).
- Open Settings → Readers & money → Ads. The page is called Ads setup.
- Choose where ads show on your pages and how many.
- Connect Google AdSense, or paste your Ad Manager network code.
- Check Ready to earn from ads? to see what ad networks ask for first.
Good to know
- Ad slots shows the ad spots of your current design. Mappings are kept if you switch designs.
- app-ads.txt lists who may sell ads in your mobile apps. It is served at /app-ads.txt on your site.
- Readers who said no to ad cookies are not shown personalised ads.
- To stop using it, turn Use this feature off. Your site and admin then stop showing it, and you can turn it on again any time.
Common problems
My ads are not showing. Why: Your account is not approved yet, or the slots are not set up. Fix: See Why are my ads not showing?.
I cannot find Ads and ads.txt in my admin. Why: The feature is off or not yet installed. Fix: Open Add features in Settings. The admin says: "This feature is switched off. The owner can switch it on in Features." Ask the owner to switch it on, or buy it if it says Not in your plan.
