Before you start
- You need the permission to manage the newsroom workflow.
Steps
- Open Settings → Content & publishing → Newsroom.
- Under Trash, enter Days in the trash, from 7 to 365.
- Save.
Good to know
- Stories on legal hold are never deleted.
- Retention rules can also move old stories to the trash. See Retention.

Is a deleted story gone at once?
No. It waits in the trash for the days you set, then it is deleted for good.
Can I set 3 days?
No. Use from 7 to 365 days.
