How do I choose which gateway and currency each country uses?

In this story

Where: Settings → Readers & money → Connections → Payments

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/connections/payments (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • Connect at least one gateway first. Otherwise the tab says "Connect a gateway first (Connections tab)."
  • Only the owner can save changes.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Readers & money → Connections → Payments → Countries & taxes.
  2. Under Which gateway each country pays with, press Add country. Pick the Country and the Gateway. Everyone else covers all other countries.
  3. Optional: under Other gateways readers may choose, add up to 3, one per gateway, in the same test or live mode.
  4. Under Currency readers pay in, turn on Charge in the reader's own currency (only used when the plan has a price in that currency).
  5. Set Otherwise charge in: a currency, or The plan's main price.
  6. To use a different currency for some countries, press Add country currency.
  7. Under VAT and sales tax outside India, press Add country tax. Enter Tax name on the receipt, Rate, an optional Tax registration number, and choose Included in my prices or Added on top at checkout.
  8. Press Save changes.

Good to know
