How do I set up the tips box and poll rules?

Where: Settings → Content & publishing → Polls & forms

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/forms-settings (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

• You need the permission to view forms. Only the owner can change the settings.

Steps

1. Open Settings → Content & publishing → Polls & forms.
2. Under Tips box:
   • Accept tips: turn off to close the box. Existing tips stay.
   • Allow photos and PDFs: files are checked before you can download them.
   • Ask for an email or phone number: anonymous tips are then not possible.
   • Tell editors when this many new tips are waiting: 0 turns the notice off.
3. Under Who may answer, choose whether Readers under 18 may answer polls and surveys. They never get forms that ask for an email address.
4. Under Lead forms, set Keep emails for (months), from 1 to 60. The time the reader agreed stays as proof.
5. Save. The page says "Saved."
