How do I find a setting in my admin?

In this story

Where: Settings

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • You only see the cards you are allowed to open. A card for a paid feature you don't have shows a lock and leads to the add-on card. See your plan on keynate.com.

Steps

  1. Open Settings in the admin menu.
  2. Use the cards under Set up your site to get your site ready. See Set up your site.
  3. To find a setting, type in Find a setting, for example "logo", "payments" or "team". The cards filter as you type.
  4. If nothing matches, the page says "No setting matches "{word}". Try another word or search everything." Press Search everything to search all of the admin.
  5. Or look in the groups: Site & brand, Content & publishing, Readers & money, Team & security, Advanced.
  6. Press a card to open that screen.
  7. Press the ? on a card for help with that screen.

Good to know

  • Search matches the card name, its one-line description and its group.
  • A few settings that live in other menu sections, such as photo settings, video hosting and the publishing checklist, also show here.
  • Settings that are not listed in a group appear under Advanced.

Common problems

  • A card is missing. You don't have permission to open it, or the feature isn't on your site. Ask the site owner.
