How do I undo a change on my site?

Where: Settings → Site & brand → Changes

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/changes (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

• Only the site owner sees Changes in the menu.
• Open Settings → Site & brand → Changes.

Steps

1. Look down the list. Each row shows the change, the person (or AI, Keynate, An automation), the area and the time.
2. To find one faster, use the filters: Area, Who, or Only changes by the AI.
3. Press Undo on the change you want to take back.
4. Read the box Undo this change? and press Undo again to confirm.
5. Wait a moment. You see Done. Your site is switching back now. or Undone.
6. Press Show older changes if the change you want is further down.

Good to know

• The areas are Design history, Template, Design, Home page and menus, Tags and own code, Pages and banners, Custom fields, Automations, Roles and review, App, Dashboards and views, and AI.
• Undoing a design change puts the version that was live before it live again. The version you undo stays in Design history, so you can bring it back later.
• Undoing a template switch takes your site back to the template it used before. Your stories and changes are kept, and a template you bought stays yours.
• Undoing an AI step puts back what was there before the AI changed it.
• A row with no Undo button can still be changed back by hand. Press Open to go to its screen.
• A row marked Undone has already been taken back.

Common problems

• "The changes couldn't be loaded." Press Try again.
• "This change couldn't be undone here. Open its screen to change it back." Press Open on that row and change it by hand.
• "Nothing matches these filters." Choose All areas and Everyone to see the full list.
• I can't find Changes in the menu. Only the owner sees it. Ask the owner to open it.
