How do I see what the AI was asked?

In this story

Where: Settings → Content & publishing → AI rules (AI log section)

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/settings/ai-rules#kn-ai-log (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

  • Only the site owner can open this page.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Content & publishing → AI rules, then the AI activity log tab.
  2. Read each row: Helper, Result, Rating, AI (model), Story risk.
  3. Open a row to see What was asked and What the AI answered. Opening a request is recorded.
  4. Press Load more for older rows.
  5. To change how long it is kept, open the Rules tab. Under AI log, set Keep the log for (days).
  6. Choose whether to Keep the questions and answers in the log.
  7. Save.

Good to know

  • Emails and phone numbers are hidden in the stored copy. Confidential sources are never sent to an AI.
  • If you switch off keeping questions and answers, only the facts of each call are kept. Rows then say the questions and answers are not kept.
  • Stories on legal hold keep their rows.

Common problems

  • "No AI requests match."
