How do I add an Android or iPhone app to my site?

In this story

Before you start

  • Your site must be live and paid up.
  • Your email must be verified.
  • You will need your own Google Play and Apple developer accounts to publish. Google and Apple charge their own fees for those accounts. Store fees are separate and paid to them.

Steps

  1. Open My sites and tap your site. On the Your apps card, tap See the add-on. Or open the Your apps page and tap Add-ons / Rebuild in the On this page menu.
  2. Find Add your apps. Under Choose the apps to add, tick Android and/or iPhone.
  3. Check Added to each renewal. You pay today only until your site renews, so everything renews on one date.
  4. Add a coupon or use your wallet if you have them.
  5. Tap the pay button and complete the payment.
  6. The page says Payment received. Your app is now part of your site. Connect your store account to build and publish it. Build and publish your app

Good to know

  • If the app says Coming soon for your template, apps are not on sale for your site yet. Nothing can be bought until then. Your website works as before.
  • If it says Not available in your country yet, the app can't be bought in your country yet.
  • After you pay, set your app's name and icon, then connect your store. App name and icon

Remove an app

Under Your app subscriptions, tap Remove at renewal. The app keeps working until the end of the month you paid for. Your store listing stays in your own account. Tap Keep this app to undo.

Common problems

  • "Your site renews today. Pay the renewal first, then add your app."
  • "Apps can be added once your site is live and paid up."
  • "Your site is set to end. Keep your site first, then add apps."
  • "Your site already has this app. Nothing more to pay."
  • "Verify your email first, then add your app."
  • "Payments from your country open soon."
  • "Your payment for this app is being checked." You can buy it again if it is declined.
  • "The price changed since you looked." Check the new amount.
  • "This app isn’t on your monthly bill. Contact support to remove it."
  • "The payment window couldn’t open." Allow pop-ups for keynate.com and try again.
