How do I run a poll, survey or feedback form?

Where: Growth → Reach readers → Polls & forms

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/growth/forms (replace <your-site> with your site address)

Before you start

You need permission to view forms. Creating and changing needs permission to manage forms.

Steps

1. Open Growth → Reach readers → Polls & forms.
2. Use Show only to filter by kind: Poll, Survey, Feedback, Quiz or Lead form. Use State and Search by title too.
3. Tap New poll or form to make one. See New poll or form.
4. On a card, tap Open to let readers answer, Close to stop answers, or Reopen.
5. Tap Results to see the answers.
6. To show it in a story, use Insert poll or form in the story editor.

Good to know

• A form's state is Draft, Scheduled, Open, Closed or Live. A draft is not shown to readers. Open it before you publish the story.
• Closing keeps the answers. You can reopen it later.
• A form that already has answers cannot be deleted. Close it instead, and download the answers first.
• Quiz and Lead form belong to separate add-ons: "This is part of the Quizzes add-on, which is not on your plan yet. Polls, surveys and feedback forms work as usual." See your plan on keynate.com. If the add-on stops running, readers see the form as closed. You can still read, close and export it.

Common problems

• I cannot delete a form. It has answers. Close it instead.
