How do I see or restore an earlier version of a story?

In this story

Where: Stories → All stories → The story editor

Open this page: admin.<your-site>/articles (replace <your-site> with your site address). Then open the one you want.

Steps

  1. Open the story. Choose File then Revision history, or scroll to the Versions (undo changes) panel.
  2. Find the version by its time and what happened: Created, Saved, Sent for review, Published and so on. Tap Show more for older ones.
  3. Tap What changed or Compare with now to see Before and After, with Added and Removed text.
  4. Tap Restore, then confirm "Restore version N?".

Good to know

  • A restore replaces unsaved changes and is saved as a new version, so nothing else is lost.
  • The current version says "This is the current version."
