When a rebuild is needed
- After you set up push alerts. The admin says "Rebuild your app to turn on push." and "Rebuild your app once so push turns on in it."
- After you change the site language. The admin says: "If you have Android or iOS apps, they need a rebuild so their store listing uses the new language. You’ll be reminded."
Rebuild from your app page in Keynate Console. See Add apps.
If push alerts don't arrive on Android
- Open Mipangilio → Wasomaji na mapato → Miunganisho → Arifa. The Push wizard has a lane for the App ya Android.
- If Keynate manages your Android app for notifications, the card says "Nothing to create: Keynate registers your Android app for notifications automatically." and shows whether "Your app build includes push".
- If it says "Rebuild your app once so push turns on in it", rebuild.
- If you use your own Firebase project, download google-services.json and upload it on your app page in Keynate Console. The app build needs it.
- Send a test from the wizard.
If push alerts don't arrive on iPhone
- In the iPhone section, upload the .p8 file and enter the Key ID, Team ID and your app's bundle id.
- Pick Production (TestFlight and App Store) or Sandbox (apps installed from Xcode). It must match the app build.
- Switch it on and save.
- Send a test, then rebuild your app.
- If Apple refuses the key, the wizard says: "Apple refused the key. Check the Key ID and Team ID, that the key has Apple Push Notifications service turned on, that the bundle id is your app's and that Sandbox/Production matches the app build."
If the app shows no stories
