How do I choose a new password from a reset link?

Before you start

• The link from the reset email. It works once and expires in 30 minutes.

Steps

1. Open the link. The page says Choose a new password.
2. Type the New password: 12 to 128 characters.
3. Type it again in Type the new password again.
4. Tap Save new password.
5. You see "Password changed. Sign in with your new password." Sign in.

Good to know

• Saving a new password signs you out everywhere.
• If two-step sign-in is on, it stays on. You still need your authenticator code.

Common problems

• "The two passwords are not the same." The two boxes differ. Type the same password in both.
• "This reset link is not valid any more. Ask for a new one." It was used or it expired. Tap Ask for a new link.
