How does Keynate protect my site and data?

In this story

Good to know

  • Your own server. Each site runs on a private server used only by your business.
  • HTTPS. keynate.com, your dashboard and every site use HTTPS. Keynate requests and renews the lock for your web address.
  • Backups. Your site is backed up every day and before every update. Backups are encrypted and kept for 90 days. Every week a backup is restored into a test copy. Backups and restore
  • Updates only with your OK. A safety copy is made first. A failed health check undoes the update by itself. Updates and consent
  • Paid features are checked on the server. Your plan is a signed licence. A page on the screen cannot unlock a feature.
  • Two-step sign-in. Keynate staff use it. You can turn it on for your account. Two-step verification
  • Your data. You can download your content from your admin at any time. After you cancel, an encrypted final backup is kept for 60 days, then deleted. Invoices stay where the law requires. Delete my data
  • Payments. Card and UPI go through Razorpay's secure checkout.
  • Certifications. Keynate does not hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2.

Common problems

I found a security weakness. Why: You may have found a problem in keynate.com, a Keynate site or an app. Fix: Email the security address on keynate.com/security. Say what you found, the address and the steps to repeat it. Give Keynate time to fix it before you share it. Do not look at other people's data.
