What is stored
- Page or account ids, display names and the channel type (for example a Facebook Page).
- The encrypted access token. It is kept on the publisher's own server. For X only, Keynate keeps the token, encrypted, so it can post for the publisher.
- A log of what was published through the connection (post ids and time).
Keynate does not collect your friends, messages, private posts or advertising data.
Disconnect a channel yourself
- Sign in to your News admin.
- Open Social sharing, then the Channels tab.
- Find the connection and select Remove. The stored token, id and name are deleted (for X, also from Keynate). Closing the site deletes them too.
You can also remove the Keynate app on the platform itself: Facebook and Instagram (Settings, Business integrations), Threads (Settings, Website permissions), and LinkedIn (Settings, Data privacy, Permitted services).
Ask Keynate to delete it
Email the support address on the Contact us page from the address on your Keynate account. Name the website and the channel. Keynate confirms within 7 days and completes deletion within 30 days.
If you asked Facebook or Instagram to delete it
If you remove the Keynate app in Facebook or Instagram settings and ask for your data to be deleted, Meta tells Keynate automatically. You get a confirmation code. Check the status on the Data deletion status page. It shows Received and says deletion is completed within 30 days.
