Restore after an unpaid renewal
- Open the site page and tap Pay & restore.
- The page checks your server.
- Your server is still there. Pay and Keynate switches your site back on, exactly as you left it. It is usually live again within 15 minutes.
- Your old server was removed. Keynate sets up a new one, puts back your last backup and reconnects your web addresses. This is automatic and takes up to 24 hours. A one-time setup fee applies.
- Check the total. The page shows Backup from the date of your backup.
- Pay. The page says Payment received and Keynate emails you when your site is live.
Good to know
- After you cancel, Keynate keeps an encrypted final backup for the number of days on your Billing page, then deletes it.
- An update that fails is undone automatically from its safety copy.
Common problems
- "We’re checking your server." Wait a few minutes and try again. Nothing was charged.
- "Restoring your backup needs one more step before it finishes." Keynate emails you as soon as your site is back.
- "Almost there. Your content is being put back." Keynate emails you when it is done.
- "The price was updated since you looked." Check the new price and pay again.
