What happens after I pay?

In this story

The steps you will see

  1. Payment received. Your invoice is in your email.
  2. Getting things ready. A private home for your website is prepared.
  3. Making it safe and private. The home is locked down.
  4. Setting up your website. Your look, your admin and your features are put in place.
  5. Almost there. Your website is secured so visitors are safe.
  6. Your website is live. The page says You’re live!

While you wait

  • You can add your own web address now. It goes live together with your website. Tap Add your web address. How do I connect my domain?
  • Your site opens on your Keynate address first.

If it takes longer

  • "Taking a little longer": Keynate is still on it. If it cannot finish, you get a full refund automatically.
  • "We hit a problem": Keynate retries by itself. The page names the time by which you get a full refund if it is not fixed. Choose Keep waiting, or Cancel and refund me now if you see it.
  • A step that waits for your server can take up to a few hours. Keynate emails you when your website is ready.

If setup fails or you cancel

The page says what happened and that your payment was refunded in full to your original payment method. The page says it can take 5 to 7 business days. Then use Try again with a new order. Refunds
