Before you start
- You must be the account owner.
- Your email must be verified.
- Each person needs their own email address. You cannot invite yourself.
- The team is free. An account can hold a limited number of members.

- Sign in to keynate.com and open Account, then Team.
- Tap Invite someone to your team.
- Enter their email address.
- Pick a role (see the list below).
- Choose the sites: All your sites, including new ones, or pick sites one by one.
- Tap Send invitation. You may be asked to sign in again first.
- The person gets an email. The link works for 7 days.
Roles
- Admin: runs the site. Domains, apps, updates, backups and the site admin. Also sees billing and invoices.
- Technical: domains, apps, updates, backups and the site admin. No billing.
- Billing: sees renewals, orders and invoices of the shared sites. Cannot buy or change anything.
- Viewer: sees the site status and can ask support for help.
Good to know
- To change a role or the sites, open the member in Team and save. It applies right away.
- Remove from team ends their access at once. Their sign-in to the site admin is closed too.
- To send the link again, use Send a new invitation. The old link stops working.
- Only you can buy, renew, cancel or change plans. Your wallet and referral code are never shared.
- Admin and Technical members need two-step sign-in on their own Keynate account before they open the site admin. Two-step verification
- Team activity shows who did what, newest first.
- Your site's own editors and reporters are not set up here. Add them inside the site admin, under Users.
Common problems
"Enter their email address, like name@example.com." Why: The address is empty or not an email. Fix: Type the full address.
"Pick at least one site, or choose “All my sites”." Why: No site is selected. Fix: Select a site, or choose all sites.
The person is already on your team. Why: An active member has that email. Fix: Open them in Team and change their role instead.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Does my team see my payments or wallet?
No. Only a Billing or Admin member sees orders and invoices of the shared sites. The wallet stays with you.
Can a member buy things for my site?
Not today. Buying stays with the owner.
What happens when I remove someone?
They lose access at once to the console and to the site admin.
