How do I bring my site back to an earlier day?
Pick a backup, confirm, and your stories, pages and settings go back to that day. A safety backup is made first so you can undo it.
How do I back up my photos and videos?
Normal backups do not hold photos and videos. Add Photo & video backup to save them too, and see how much space is used.
How do I download a backup of my site?
Ask for a ZIP file of any backup. Keynate emails you when it is ready, and it stays available for 24 hours.
How does Keynate protect my site and data?
Your own server, HTTPS, daily encrypted backups, updates only with your OK, and checks on the server. How to report a problem.

How do I change the name and address on my invoices?
Open Account, then Billing details. Your name, address and GST number there are printed on every new invoice. In India your state decides the GST.
When do I get a refund?
You get a full refund if no server is delivered. A billing period that has already started is not refunded. This restates the published policy.
How do I review my order and pay?
The last screen shows your choices, your invoice details and the exact amount. Tick the Terms and tap Pay securely.

Open a demo of the website, the real admin and the Android and iPhone apps for any look before you pay.

My site stopped opening on my own address. How do I reconnect it?
If settings were removed from your domain account, Keynate shows a Reconnect button and the settings to put back. It takes about 2 minutes.
Where do I add the settings at my domain provider?
Keynate shows steps for GoDaddy, Namecheap, Hostinger, BigRock, Cloudflare, Squarespace, Amazon Route 53, IONOS, Wix and other providers.
Main address or a section of my address? How many settings do I add?
A main address like yournews.com needs 2 settings. A section like news.yourbrand.com needs 1. Pick a section if you want to keep your current website.
How do I make my site's emails come from my own address?
Site emails work with no set-up. To send from your own address and reach inboxes, add the optional email settings once your address is connected.

How do I review Keynate or withdraw my review?
When your site has been live for 7 days, Keynate emails you a review link once. Rate Keynate, then see or withdraw your review under Account, My review.
How do I change my password or add Google sign-in?
Open Account. Under Password you change or set your password. Under Sign-in methods you connect or disconnect Google and other sign-ins.
Why does Keynate ask me to confirm it's me?
Before a sensitive change, Keynate asks you to confirm it's you with your password, Google or an email code. Then it won't ask again for 10 minutes.
How do I make a role that can write but not publish?
Make your own team roles from the permissions that exist, for example a video editor who uploads media but can't publish. Owner-only powers never go in.

How do I set the story label, key points and corrections?
The Trust panel sets the story label, key points and corrections, and shows the AI label when AI helped. Readers see all of these on the story.
How do I mark a story from another publisher, or let partners republish mine?
Syndication means sharing stories between publishers. Say if this text came from another publisher, and if partners may republish your story.
What is the story summary for?
The summary is a short line under the headline. Google and AI answers often show it, so it helps people decide to read your story.
How do I add an FAQ, steps or a review that Google can show?
Add questions and answers, how-to steps, a review or a fact-check to a story, so Google and AI answers understand it. Google no longer shows FAQ boxes.
