Before you start
- You need to sign in where you manage your web address (your domain provider).
- Your Keynate address keeps working meanwhile. Every site has one.
Steps
- Open My sites and tap your site.
- Next to the address, tap Not reachable. Reconnect. The email has a Reconnect my address button that goes to the same place.
- Read the Reconnect page for your address. It says how many settings to put back, for example "Put back 2 settings."
- Open your domain provider. Add each setting with its Type, Name and Value. Use the copy buttons. What are DNS records?
- If the page says Delete this old record, delete it first.
- Tap the check button, or Check now.
- Wait for the status to change to Live.
What you'll see
- A line such as "We keep your address connected until (a date)." Fix it before that date. Your address is kept connected for 30 days after Keynate first sees the problem.
- A list that ticks off each setting as it goes live, usually within a few minutes.
Good to know
- Keynate sends reminders before the date, so you do not have to remember it. If the date passes, the address is released. Tap Connect it again and add the settings again.
- Moving your domain to a new provider or switching its name servers also removes the old settings. Add them at the new place.
Common problems
- The check still fails. Look for an old record with the same name and delete it. My domain does not work
- Cloudflare. Set the cloud to grey ("DNS only") on these records.
- Nothing changes after a few hours. Raise a ticket. How do I get help?
Questions

Did I lose my site?
No. Your site, stories and settings are untouched. Only the address stopped pointing to it.
