How do I renew my site?

In this story

Steps

  1. Open the renewal email and tap the pay link. Or open My sites, tap your site, and tap Pay now or Renew now.
  2. On the renewal page, check the amount. It shows Renewal (1 month) and your total.
  3. Add a coupon if you have one. Turn the wallet switch on or off.
  4. Tap Pay and complete the payment.
  5. The page says Thanks! Your renewal is paid.

Where to see your renewal date

Open My sites, your site, then Billing: renewal, cancel, invoices. The page shows Next renewal, Next month’s amount and Invoice due by.

Good to know

  • You can pay a renewal with a coupon and with your Keynate Wallet credit.
  • Only if you turn on Pay renewals from my wallet automatically is a renewal that your wallet fully covers paid on its date. Keynate emails you 3 days before.
  • Billing is monthly. Nothing is charged automatically: Keynate emails you an invoice with a pay link before each renewal.
  • The billing page also shows This month’s bill: what your next renewal costs, line by line (website software, your own server, template, apps, add-ons, backup), and Included in your plan (not charged) with your image storage and emails used this period.

If you miss the due date

  1. Payment due. Your site still works. Renew soon to keep publishing. Keynate gives you a grace period after the due date. The Terms say 7 days, and your billing page shows the date.
  2. Your site is read-only. Readers can still see your site. You cannot publish or edit until you renew. Nothing is deleted.
  3. Your site is suspended. Visitors see a suspended page, but your content is kept. Pay now and it is back within minutes on the same server.
  4. Your server was removed. A backup is kept. Use Pay & restore to set up a new server and bring your site back. A one-time setup fee applies. Restoring is automatic and is ready within 24 hours.

Common problems

  • "We’re checking your server. Please try again in a few minutes." Wait, then tap Try again. Nothing was charged.
  • "The price was updated since you looked." Check the new amount, then pay again.
  • "We’ve emailed you a renewal link. Can’t find it?" Check spam, or write to the support address shown on the page.
  • "We’re confirming your payment." The page updates by itself. You can close it. Keynate emails you.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will Keynate charge my card on its own?

No. A renewal happens only when you press Pay, or when you switched on wallet auto-pay and your wallet covers it in full.
