Where: Readers & money → Readers
Open this page: admin.<your-site>/audience/readers (replace <your-site> with your site address)
Before you start
- Reader accounts must be switched on. If the list is empty you see "No readers yet. Turn on sign-in in Settings → Readers & money → Connections → Readers & sign-in." and a Turn on reader sign-in button.
- You need permission to view readers. Blocking needs permission to manage readers.
Steps
- Open Readers & money, then Readers.
- Use Search readers. Type a name, the start of an email, or a phone number that starts with +. Use Status to narrow the list.
- Tap a reader to open Reader details.
- To see the email and phone, tap Show contact details. Tap Hide contact details to hide them again.
- To stop a reader, tap Block, add a Reason, and confirm.
- To let them back in, tap Unblock.
Good to know
- Opening a reader is written to the activity log, so only open the ones you need.
- Details include Signs in with, Joined, Last seen, Reader id and What they can access.
- Access comes from payments and plans. It can’t be edited here.
- Blocking signs the reader out everywhere. What they paid for is not refunded. Your reason goes into the activity log, and only your team sees it.
- A reader who says they are under 18 gets no analytics, no personalised ads and no profiling.
- A reader who deleted their account is erased after a 7-day grace period, within 30 days at the latest.
- You cannot delete a reader for them. Handle their erasure request in Privacy requests.
- Store reviewer: if you publish an app, Keynate makes one sign-in for the Google Play and App Store reviewers. It is hidden from the list. To see it, turn on Show store reviewer in the Store reviewer filter. It has a Store reviewer badge.
- The store reviewer is not counted as a reader or member. Its comments always wait for your check, and it never gets emails.
- To turn the store reviewer sign-in off, open Settings → Site & brand → App. To get a new code, open Apps on keynate.com.
Common problems
- "Nothing matches your search." Try the start of the email, or a phone number with +.
- I do not see Block. You need permission to manage readers.
- "Write something here first." Blocking or unblocking a reader needs a reason. Write why.
- "Add a short reason (at least … characters)." Write a longer reason, so your team knows later why it happened.
