What does "read-only" or "suspended" mean for my site?

In this story

The states

  1. Payment due. "Payment due — renew to keep your site." Your site is still live. If Keynate doesn't receive payment by the date shown, your admin becomes read-only.
  2. Read-only: renew. Readers can still see your site. You cannot publish or edit until you renew. Nothing has been deleted.
  3. Suspended: renew. Visitors see a "suspended" page, but your content is kept. Pay now and it is back within minutes on the same server. After the date shown, the server is removed.
  4. Ended. "Your server was removed." The renewal wasn't paid. Keynate kept a backup. Pay & restore sets up a new server and brings your site back, ready within 24 hours. A one-time setup fee applies.

How to fix it

  1. Open My sites. Tap Pay now, or Renew now, or Pay & restore.
  2. Pay. How do I renew my site?

Good to know

  • The Terms give a grace period of 7 days after the due date. The date is on your Billing page and in your emails. Your site keeps running during it.
  • Keynate never deletes a suspended site automatically. If a suspension lasts for a long time, the service may end after warning emails.
  • If you cancelled on purpose, the same states follow the end of your paid period. Cancel

Common problems

  • "We’ve emailed you a renewal link. Can’t find it?" Check spam, or write to the support address shown.
  • The admin says read-only after I paid. Wait a few minutes for the payment to confirm.
