What if I forgot my Keynate password?

In this story

Steps

  1. On the log-in page, tap Forgotten password?
  2. Enter your Email address and tap Send reset link.
  3. The page says Check your email. If an account exists for that address, Keynate sent a link. It expires in 30 minutes.
  4. Open the link. Under Choose a new password, type a New password and Confirm new password. It needs at least 10 characters. Use something you don't use anywhere else.
  5. Tap Update password.
  6. The page says Password updated. Log in with the new password.

Good to know

  • For your security, Keynate signs you out on every device when the password changes.
  • Two-step verification stays on. You still need your code at the next log-in.
  • The page says "If an account exists for" your address. It does not confirm whether one does.

Common problems

  • I did not get the email. Check your spam folder, or try another address. Tap try another address.
  • "This reset link has expired or has already been used." Tap Request a new link.
  • "This reset link is incomplete." Open the link from your email again, or request a new one.
  • "This password has appeared in a known data breach." Choose a different one.
  • "Passwords don’t match." Type the same password twice.
  • "Too many attempts." Wait for the time shown.
